Does it come with a good cover?
The cover of this mattress is designed to regulate heat which is important when you live in a country like Malaysia. It’s made of Outlast fabric which is breathable so you will stay cool during the night. Moreover, this will allow the mattress to be more hygienic and it will last longer. The good news is that this is a removable cover and you can hand wash it whenever this is needed. The top part feels soft and it looks quite premium. The design is a modern one and it’s what you expect from a boxed mattress. After all, they all look the same these days. Overall, this is a nice cover that is functional and practical.
Is this a firm mattress?
Let’s continue with this Sonno Original mattress review and talk about its feel. As you expect, this is a mattress that is built to suit the average sleeper so it comes with a medium-firm feel. On my virtual scale, I would rate this as a 6.8 with 10 being really firm. I am ready now to share my experience with it for the past two weeks.
Starting from the back position, the mattress distributed my weight evenly so I didn’t have any pressure points. Support was good and I was comfortable in this position.
Turning to the side position, I felt that sinkage was not ideal so my spinal alignment wasn’t perfect. However, I didn’t feel this was a huge problem and people with a lighter build won’t notice that. There was no discomfort in my hips or shoulder area and the mattress remained supportive.
Finally, moving to the stomach position, the Sonno Original did a great job and its firmness is ideal for this position. I think that if you are a stomach sleeper, this should definitely be on your list.
Another thing I need to mention here is that this mattress is suitable for couples as it has minimal motion transfer. That means that you won’t disturb each other during sleep. On the other hand, edge support is average but this is expected from a mattress of this kind.
Do they offer free delivery?
If you decide to buy a Sonno mattress, you will get free delivery which is a fast one. If you live in Klang Valley, you will get your mattress within 2-4 working days and if you live outside of it, you will get it within 4-6 working days. I am based in Kuala Lumpur and my mattress arrived in 3 days. The box was in great condition and I was informed about every step of the delivery process. The courier was prompt and polite and I was happy with the service I got. I need to point out here that you need to leave the mattress for 24 hours to decompress before you use it fully.
Can I try this at home?
Many people don’t feel comfortable buying a mattress online so the good news is that the Sonno Original mattress comes with a 100-night trial period. This gives you the opportunity to try it at home and decide later whether you want to keep it or not. If you are not happy with it, you have the right to return it and ask for your money back. Returns are free and you don’t have to keep the original packaging to be able to complete a return.
Besides that, the people at Sonno also offer a 10-year warranty which is the standard these days. That means that you will be covered for a long time so you don’t need to worry about any defect that it might have. Overall, this is a great package so no complaints at all.
