Sometimes our mattresses can feel too firm but it’s not always the right time for a new one. In this Sonno mattress topper review, I will talk about an affordable way to solve this issue.
Sonno is a very popular maker in Malaysia and they have seen great success with their mattresses. After trying their Sonno Lite mattress, I was curious to find out whether this topper is worth the hype. Toppers are quite useful in many ways but there are two main reasons you should get them. The first one is to make a mattress more comfortable. The second one is to add pressure-relieving properties. In any case, a topper makes sense only if your old mattress is still supportive and structurally good. My Sonno topper was delivered almost two weeks ago so it’s time now to move to the full review below.
Materials
The Sonno topper is made here in Malaysia and it features a straightforward construction. It’s made of a single piece of memory foam that is infused with charcoal. This adds cooling properties which are very important for humid climates, like the Malaysian one. Additionally, memory foam can reduce pressure points which can be beneficial for those with a bad back. The Sonno topper measures 5cm in height so you should expect a rich memory foam layer.
The cover is a nice one and it features 4 elasticated bands. These ensure that the fit is tight which is crucial. After all, the last thing you need is to have a topper that doesn’t stay in place. Overall, this is a high-quality accessory that won’t disappoint.
Support & Comfort
This topper is designed to add extra comfort but also minimise pressure points. During the past two weeks, I have been using this with an old coil mattress which is supportive but not comfortable at all. The Sonno topper changed that and my old mattress became instantly more comfortable. Additionally, it eliminated most of my pressure points and my back was less painful the next morning. As a whole, it made a big difference and the RM699 I paid for a queen-sized one was money well spent.
Trial Period & Warranty
If you don’t feel comfortable buying a topper online, I have good news for you. The Sonno topper comes with a 30-night trial period that allows you to try this for a full month. This is impressive and not many toppers come with this type of offer. If you are not happy with your purchase, you can return it and get a full refund. Moreover, this topper comes with a 2-year warranty that will cover you for some time. Overall, this is a complete package that won’t disappoint.
Pricing
This topper is an affordable option so you won’t have to spend much to get it. The smaller size (Single) will cost you RM599 with the bigger one (King) going for RM899. In total, there are 4 sizes available so the options are limited. The good news is that the people at Sonno run frequent promotions so you most probably won’t pay the retail price. Below, you will find all the information you need about the available sizes and their prices.
SIZE | DIMENSIONS | PRICE |
Single | 90 x 190 x 5cm | RM599 |
Super Single | 107 x 190 x 5cm | RM699 |
Queen | 150 x 190 x 5cm | RM799 |
King | 180 x 190 x 5cm | RM899 |
Is this a topper I should consider?
This is the main question I need to answer before I complete this Sonno mattress topper review. I think that this is a great sleeping accessory that can help you to massively improve your current mattress. Add a fantastic service and a reasonable price tag and you have a winner here.
