Sonno Pillow Review

A good mattress is not always enough for good sleep. The pillow is equally important so you need to choose wisely. In this Sonno Pillow review, I will talk about this memory foam option that looks very interesting.

After getting the Sonno Original mattress, I was very curious to try their pillow too. The fact that it comes with a 30-night trial period makes it a safe purchase so you have a full month to try this at home. Moreover, the Sonno pillow comes with a 2-year warranty and free delivery. I got mine almost two weeks ago so it’s a good time now to move to the full review below.

Construction

This pillow doesn’t have a complex construction. The core is made of a single piece of memory foam which is a design that I have seen elsewhere. Memory foam is a material known for its pressure-relieving properties so your neck and head can rest properly. Additionally, it can mould around your head so you will get great support. The people at Sonno use high-quality materials and this foam is CertiPUR-US certified. That means that it’s free from harmful substances including lead and ozone depleters. Overall, this is a well-made pillow that won’t disappoint.

Cover

If you live in a country like Malaysia, humidity can be a real issue. For this reason, you should make sure you use breathable clothes and sheets. The same applies to your pillow and the people at Sonno seem to understand that. The cover is made of Outlast fabric that has the ability to regulate heat for optimal thermal comfort. Moreover, this is a breathable fabric so this pillow will stay cool at night.

The cover is removable and machine-washable and this is something that I love about it. Just make sure to use a mild detergent and a gentle cycle when you wash it. The cover feels soft and it looks more premium than its price tag suggests. The design is a modern one and you will find small details of the Sonno branding. Overall, it’s a great cover that combines practicality with performance.

Support

Before choosing your next pillow, you should first think of the way you prefer to sleep. According to that, you should choose a pillow with the right profile (height). The Sonno pillow measures 12cm in height which makes it ideal for back and side sleepers. If you are a stomach sleeper, you should probably look for a pillow that measures 10cm or less.

For the past two weeks, I have been sleeping with the Sonno pillow and it did an excellent job when sleeping on my side and back. Unfortunately, for the stomach position, the performance wasn’t the same as this pillow felt too thick. The memory foam did a good job supporting my head and neck but also managed to eliminate any pressure points. The last part impressed me and I can say with confidence that this is a great pillow which does what it promises.

Is this a pillow I should consider?

I will try to answer this question since I am ready to complete this Sonno Pillow review. In my opinion, this one would suit those looking for:

  • A memory foam pillow that has excellent pressure-relieving properties.
  • An affordable pillow that sleeps cool.
  • A pillow that comes with a 30-night trial period.

Sonno managed to build a complete package here and this pillow is well-rounded. It’s built with quality materials and it comes with a washable cover. Add a comprehensive support package and a trial period and you have a real winner here.
